The best Eiffel Portrait Locations
When you get to Paris, you’ll sure to snap a few photos for ‘the ‘gram’ but you should also be sure to step out from behind the camera and book a photoshoot with a Paris photographer. What good are your Paris snapshots if you can’t also post a #humblebrag where you look incredible in Paris? Where better to do that than in front of the landmark that has made the Paris skyline one of the most recognizable in the world: the Eiffel Tower! To help you scope out the perfect location for your Eiffel Tower pictures, I have ranked the best places to have a photoshoot with a view of the iconic monument.
Scheduling your photoshoot at Trocadero is a surefire way to get the best unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower. There are multiple levels to the plaza-type location, plus a garden, stairs, statues, fountains and more to give your pictures plenty of charm. Schedule your photoshoot early in the morning to avoid a majority of the tourists, although there will be plenty of photoshoots occurring simultaneously. Sunrise at the Eiffel Tower offers some of the best light the city has to offer and makes for an incredible backdrop to your photos.
This is my second favorite location for a photoshoot that includes the Eiffel Tower. It is often much less crowded and has an incredible design that makes the framing of your photos absolutely incredible. This bridge, made popular by the movie Inception, is perfect for architecture lovers and people looking for an ‘off the beaten path’ type photoshoot that still includes Eiffel Tower views.
The Champ de Mars is a great photoshoot spot for families! The Champ de Mars is the park directly in front of the Eiffel Tower and makes for some of the most iconic photos that capture your time in Paris. Set up a picnic and capture the fun of a day in Paris or let your little ones wander through the grass barefoot. So Parisienne.
Between Invalides to the Grand Palais, the Pont Alexandre III is nothing short of stunning. With a picture perfect view of the Eiffel Tower, this is an excellent place to schedule your Paris photoshoot. The light-posts, the statues, the surrounding beautiful buildings, what more could you want? Oh yeah, a great view! It’s got that too.
This lesser-known bridge is a pedestrian walking bridge that was built to accommodate foot traffic for the world fair in 1900 and is a great place to have your Paris photo session. It has a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower and its timeless structure remains relatively unchanged from when it was built and will quickly transport you back in time to the Belle Epoque - this is a great option for a vintage-inspired photoshoot!
